Africas Best Relaxer
So I went to my local walmart and picked up a relaxer. Usually I wait 6-8 weeks to have my hair permed. I also usually get it professionally permed at the salon. This time I decided to do it myself. Among my favorite do it yourself perms are Soft & Beautiful Botanicals no lye relaxer for sensitive scalps or Dr. Miracles relaxer. This time I tryed Africas Best relaxer with no lye it has real african botanicles and extra virgin olive oil. After letting the relaxer stay on for 15-20minutes becasue my hair is super curly and thick -my hair was so straight and smooth. The perm really gets your hair soft and conditions it. For $4.95 you get your moneys worth. You will not be dissapointed at all. I also like their leave in conditioner that comes inside the box with the activator and shampoo- it had a pleasant fruity smell to it. I cant wait to see the end result when my hair is actually styled later today at the salon. I will post up some pictures for all to see. Dont wait if your hair is on the hard to manage side or (nappy) go get this!

Make Up Tips To Consider
What Works
1. If you have found just the right color makeup, then consider yourself lucky. Even if you have been so fortunate, be prepared to alter your makeup shade as your complexion changes with the seasons. Have two shades handy to alternate during the winter and summer months. Mix if necessary to get the ideal shade.
Beauty Tip: Even with the endless foundation options on the market, it can still be difficult to find your perfect shade. Don’t be afraid to mix-up your own foundation to get just the right color for you. If your complexion seems to fit in between the mocha and the latte that your makeup brand offers, mix-up some mocha latte!
2. Definitely mix-up eye shadows for a beautiful, effortless appearance. Choose colors that compliment one another and will blend well. Start darker at the lashes and go light towards the brow.
Beauty Tip: Just smearing on color doesn’t work. The key to flawless eye shadow is to blend, blend and blend some more. Be especially careful when using shadows with heavy or bright pigments. Try mixing a 2-3 different complimentary shades of shadow in each application and use a shadow brush to blend them into perfection.
3. To get perfect voluminous lips, requires a little mixing. Simply apply your favorite color gloss to the entire lip then add a lighter gloss to the center of your lips. Gently pat your lips together to perfectly blend the two shades. This combo gives a phenomenal 3-D shine!
Using lip liner? Always match your lip liner to your complexion or to your lipstick. Liner should keep your lipstick from smudging beyond your lip line and should be virtually undetectable. In either case, matching your liner to your skin or to your lip color allows the liner to seamlessly blend.

Back To Mac Program
MAC cosmetics are amongst some of my bigger vices in life. I may be able to count on one hand the number of times I’ve been able to visit their counter (or store) and walk away without buying something. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I first started using their products and learned of the Back to MAC program.
The program is an initiative to encourage customers to recycle cosmetic containers. For every six primary packaging containers brought to a MAC counter or returned through MAC Cosmetics Online, you will receive a free lipstick. Some independent MAC stores even offer you a choice between a complimentary lipstick, eyeshadow or lipgloss. Be sure to check with the store you visit to verify what they offer.
MAC then ensures the returned containers are distributed to appropriate waste management centers. In case you’re wondering, primary packaging is the container that actually holds the makeup (secondary packaging would be the paper box or wrapping) and if you still aren’t sure, you can visit their website to ensure your containers are eligible for the program. In their ongoing commitment to the environment, the company also uses minimal packaging and recycled paper in their offices, manufacturing and distribution facilities. As well, vegetable-based inks are used for printing when possible.
I went to the Mac pro store tonight and had empty eyeshadow containers, powders, lipstick, primer, and foundation which came out to 18 total. I was able to get 3 lip gloss, eyeshadow or lipsticks. I chose to get lipgloss- I picked oyster girl (lipglass), echantress (lip glass), and the new (dazzle glass) in money talks which is my favorite right now.
UPDATE: MAC now requires that all eye shadows be returned with complete packaging. Soft Soap Honeysuckle and Orange Peel Body Wash
I started using Softsoap's Honeysuckle and Orange Peel Body Wash and I'm hooked!!! It's a very light, flowery scented wash. Its 18 fl oz and will cost you about $5.49 but totally worth it. Its been about two weeks and Im almost already out of it because I dont use it as a body wash -I literally bathe in the stuff. It may not be for everyone, I know of some people who complain that scents like honeysuckle and jasmine are too "old-ladyish" for them, but I personally like this unique shower gel. I love the feminine but not overpowering scent of the fresh honeysuckle mixed with the tangy orange undernote. It's lightly moisturizing without being greasy or oily and the scent isn't too heavy.
